Michal Guttman

Born in Jerusalem, Michal served for 13 years in various executive positions in the Israeli public sector, on the national and local government.  She then relocated to the United States, and in the past 18 years she has been working both in Israel and globally, initiating and developing platforms that connect and engage  Israelis with World Jewry. Michal directed the G’vanim Leadership program in Palo Alto, and later expanded the program nationally as Head of IAC Engage at the IAC (Israeli American Council). In this
role she led the organizations’ community building strategy while supporting Israeli - American communities nationally during their inception and growth.
Her work experience with Israelis and Israeli Americans brought her to co-found “Belong” - A collective impact initiative, aiming to deepen acquaintance, knowledge, and connections of Israelis with Jews around the world through committed influencers and collaboration among organizations in the field.
Today, Michal is the Head of R&D and Knowledge  Management at the International Center for Culture of Belonging, and the Director of Programong at Hakhel, the Jewish Intentional Communities Incubator.
Luckily, she can combine both worlds that are central to her personal and her professional life: Jewish Peoplehood and Community Building.
Michal holds a BA in political science, and an MA in public policy and management from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
